I've never really put much effort into anything. I live a pretty normal cycle of work, sleep rinse and repeat. Recently I decided to try my hand in painting, and I guess I just want to see what other people think. Am I wasting my time, or should I keep pursuing this new found passion?

There's a welcome group here (dawelcomewagon.deviantart.com/) that might be able to help out a little. They have links to groups that focus on different media, such as traditional or photography, that might be worth joining. Groups are handy for getting more views, or even for getting inspiration for your next painting, or for generally picking up tips.
There are also links on there to regional groups so you can find other artists in your country.
It can be a bit daunting at first as there's a lot to take in, but don't hesitate to ask people if there's something you're unsure of. Also keep up the posting, your stuff is pretty sweet!
